We had to wait until 8 am for the parade to start, and when it did, hordes of people appeared from nowhere and we were forced to stand up because the crowd at the back were pressing on us. Our crowd was also the noisiest, and there were a lot of inconsiderate people who arrived late but acted like VIPs and kept blocking our view (there was even one who kept screaming she was media and acted like we were supposed to bow down to her but she has no ID). I wasn't able to take a picture of the float from Cebu because of a commotion behind us. Apparently, an old woman collapsed because she can't breath properly. Poor dear. Overall, the parade was great to watch save for the inconsiderate people I mentioned above. Augh. People. I don't think we will be watching it from the same spot next year. Oh well. Lesson learned. Here are several shots I took of the float, the rest I will upload in my Facebook account later when I have the time:
No family pictures. We hardly thought of that because we always fear of a stampede happening. Svet and Elijah were with us so we were worried. Anyways, there's still the closing ceremonies of Session Road In Bloom (it opens today, March 1) and a fireworks display on March 7. I hope my mom comes home by then so we can truly enjoy the festivity.
