BUT, there's a big but here. Although I would have been the last in the list of the candidates for Nicest Person of 2008, I still got my fair share of blessings. My daughter Svet is one. Born May of 2008, she was my biggest gift I got last year, arguably the greatest I have or will ever get. Then I got this work at home job which is a great opportunity for someone who hates to leave her child everyday (in order to become the slave of some stupid jerk) as much as I do. Then my mom has been incredibly patient with my attitude problem this year, proving over and over again how amazingly lucky I am to have her as a mother. She's turning 47 three days from now, btw, and I am still in the process of wracking my muddled brain for something suitable to give her. Yes, I know. I am the worst daughter ever.
Come to think of it, I might not be half as unlucky last year as I first thought. I mean, I know there are people who have fared worse last 2008 than I have. Okay, now I am feeling guilty. Not such a good thing to feel on the first day of a fresh new year. I think I'll just focus on three wonderful celebrations today: my dad's 52nd birthday, my daughter's 8th month here on earth, and the first day of 2009 which signals that I have been given by God yet another year to enjoy life. And that I intend to do. Life is short, after all. One can't have too many precious memories to make with one's family, agree?
Thanks for taking time to read all my ramblings. You know I will continue doing this unless Congress passes a law prohibiting bloggers to publish nonsense. But even then I'll still find a way to write my thoughts down. I will be unstoppable. Haarr!!! I hope you all have a great start to a new year! Happy 2009 everyone! Greetings from Kaye, Paul and Svet :)
