First, let me just say that I am greatly amazed as to why no one seems to be openly whining about BPI's remittance problems for the last week except for my friend Mighty here (and me, as you will read in the next paragraph), because I Googled it and I came up empty. What, is there some kind of major shushing that's happening? Who makes you shush? BPI? But then again, maybe it's just me and my bright mind at work. Maybe I just typed in the wrong keywords because I have a royal headache and I haven't eaten lunch yet but here I am yapping about my unfortunate experience with BPI. Anyway.
Like Mighty here, I should already have a tidy amount on my account ready to be spent by this time. Actually, my fellow freelance writers who had BDO for accounts got them LAST WEDNESDAY. Which left me and my buddies with BPI accounts still wishing for our money to please, please come. Okay so this just came in. I AM THE ONLY ONE LEFT WHO HAS NOT RECEIVED MY FREAKING MONEY! Now is it always me who comes last, huh? Because we don't have a phone?! Yes, we don't have a landline because we live in the woods. But I have managed to get someone to talk to BPI even without a phone. How resourceful of me.
So Caesar (the friend who made the effort to call BPI for me) called the renowned phone banking services of BPI. Guess what they told him. In summary, it would be "Here's a reference number. We will check it next week". Well, F YOU. Next week? I will be dead by next week so I will not need your freaking reference number by then. Thank you very much. You were way too helpful. I am so humbled. Now what is the use of boasting about phone banker-assisted transactions being available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week if you can't help me during my direst moment of need and only have a reference number to give me (which I obviously can't use to buy my baby diapers) and an offer to find out about my inquiries next week?!? Virg says they should totally sue their brains for non-support, and I SO agree.
Just so everyone knows, I am applying for a new bank account AT ANOTHER BANK because I don't want to maintain bank relations with my current one who cannot even admit that something is wrong with their system. Why do I always end up with companies with poor services? First Xoom, then BPI. I must be so lucky. The gods have chosen me to be the one to experience all this. You say shit happens? Yeah, well, to me it happens all the time. So brighten up. Lemme take all the crap.
If anything, this is a rant of a pissed off customer who is about to go wacko. Do not put on your faith in everything I posted here, because I am seeing red and that doesn't exactly spell objectivity.

Hello,
it seems that we have the same problem and like you i did google it and aside from your rant... there was nothing about it online. I am also waiting for my money to be reflected in my BPI account and after 3 years of working at this job and receiving payment regularly twice a month... this is the first time that i am having problems with BPI but lately over the past months the time it took for my money to arrive had gotten longer... i tried calling bpi but now they are asking for an 11 digit access number and i don't know where to get hold of that? luckily i have a day job which helps me survive but I am really at the end of my rope and like you am going crazy!
i don't know where to reach you anonymous :(
anyways, i hope you read this. the 11 digit access number is actually the first ten digits of your BPI account number, and the first digit of your joint account indicator or JAI (JAI the two numbers at the lower right corner of the front side of your ATM). if this is your first time accessing the phone banking service of ATM, you should assign a four-digit pincode too. but you can only use your 11-digit access code two days after you activate the service using your atm. anyways, i'll explain more to you if you email me. i still haven't gotten my money too. bpi is really having problems. they are just not admitting it. and i'm fucking pissed. i will definitely switch to another bank after this transaction with them. lemme know if you need any more help :)
same here... the bank could not give positive response. i am starting to hate this bank and once i received the remittance i will surely pullout my cash...
hi... I went to the remittanc center to send money and was told that BPI has got problems. Thanks to your blog, I found out that BPI's remittance problem has been a few weeks old. Have they solved this yet? I dont want to send money until they have fixed their problems.
@for the last two anonymous commenters:
BPI has still not given me my freaking money. I don't think I will be getting it soon, although the service officer at my bank branch is very helpful. So my advise is, don't send money through BPI at this time. It's either you will get it VERY late, or you will get it VERY VERY late.
Hi! i just posted my Bpi story in http://ketchupplease.wordpress.com. My sis Clarisse (Coffee,Anyone?) shared with me your link. I'd been yapping too about BPI though it's abt their crappy Customer NON-Service hehe...

no phone line no blogging for me and I will be super bored
phone line is important for many things today
There are plenty of other options, including working for and writing for your own little company. That's what I do.
Im having problem with bpi too.I supposed to receive remittance from kuwait. I didnt know my bpi account was already close as my daughter used my atm and withdraw all the money. My husband already cancel the remittance from the fx in kuwait. I called bpi at pinagpasapasaan lang ako from their cs center to my branch and told me wala daw sila narereceive na cancelation notice from al mulla forex which my husband already confirmed na 3x na sila nagsesend. I was thinking its al mulla that doesnt to return the money but because of this blog..I am now having a second thought..anyone experience the same thing?
BPI is a bunch of criminals. I transferred money to my account in which I had a car payment with autodebit that was cancelled and always paid by check. Then talked with the Manager and she assured me the money would be deposited in one week. Went back to the bank and was told that she never said that. Got my lawyer involved then found out there were 3 manager trying to cover oup everything so the kept the 60,000 pesos that they told me was to be credited. It has now been to months.
BPI is shit. I accidentally paid 1200 to PhilCare/PhilHealthCare thinking it was PhilHealth. I admit it was stupid of me but the process to get back my 1200 was very frustrating. CSR told me they could no longer do anything about it and I had to go to PhilCare and file my complaint there. And have PhilCare deposit the 1200 to my account. Tama ba yun?
0ctober 31 2014, same problem is back with my remittance. Where is my money BPI?
BPI sucks!!! customer service is really bad.. pagpapasa-pasahan ka.. yesterday they were offline. they got 20000+ to my account eh hindi ko naman prinocess yun. then and hirap nilang ifollowup kung ano na nagyari doon.
